Background

An established Equipment Hire and Hauling company in Zambia invites qualified and experienced technical professionals to join its dedicated team. Focused on maximising fleet efficiency, maintaining reliable equipment, and minimising downtime, this organisation offers multiple full-time positions across various engineering and maintenance disciplines.

Role Objective

Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures and equipment using various welding and fabrication techniques while adhering to engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair metal components and structures according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding.
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal using hand and power tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Carry out structural steel work, repairs, and modifications.
• Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
• Maintain tools and a clean, safe work environment.
• Work independently or collaboratively to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Boilermaker Craft Certificate.
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• EIZ Membership.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker.
• Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments is essential.
• Experience with fixed plant, processing plant, or mobile equipment fabrication is advantageous.
