An established Equipment Hire and Hauling company in Zambia invites qualified and experienced technical professionals to join its dedicated team. Focused on maximising fleet efficiency, maintaining reliable equipment, and minimising downtime, this organisation offers multiple full-time positions across various engineering and maintenance disciplines.
Role Objective
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems in vehicles and machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair wiring, lighting, ignition, charging, and starting systems.
- Install and maintain alarms, immobilisers, radios, GPS, cameras, and tracking devices.
- Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical faults.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Test and replace alternators, starters, sensors, and control modules.
- Maintain accurate service records and a clean, safe workshop environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Auto Electrician Craft Certificate.
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- EIZ Membership.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to reduce equipment downtime.
