Air Conditioning Technician

Background

An established Equipment Hire and Hauling company in Zambia invites qualified and experienced technical professionals to join its dedicated team. Focused on maximising fleet efficiency, maintaining reliable equipment, and minimising downtime, this organisation offers multiple full-time positions across various engineering and maintenance disciplines.

Role Objective

Install, repair, and maintain air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, pumps, and electric motors to ensure safe and efficient system operation.

Qualifications & Experience

Craft Certificate in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.

Grade 12 Certificate.

EIZ Membership.

3 to 5 years’ hands-on experience with HVAC systems.

Experience with heavy mobile equipment in mining and fixed plant environments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair AC and refrigeration systems on heavy mobile equipment and fixed plants.
• Perform routine inspections and diagnostics to identify faults.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare maintenance reports and maintain accurate records of parts used.
• Provide customer service by explaining work completed and offering recommendations.
• Collaborate with the team to improve procedures and assist junior staff training.
