About the Role:
Talent Acquisition Jobs in Kalumbila Reporting directly to the Coordinator – Talent Acquisition & Management, you will play a pivotal role in attracting, recruiting, and retaining critical talent across various departments at Lumwana Mining Company.
Your expertise will support hiring managers by delivering end-to-end recruitment solutions, overseeing performance management, fostering internal mobility, and facilitating workforce planning aligned with business priorities and our safety culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating full-cycle recruitment for operational, technical, and support roles.
- Collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop workforce plans, and implement sourcing strategies.
- Screening CVs, conducting initial interviews, coordinating assessments, and assisting in selection decisions.
- Managing job advertisements, candidate tracking, interview scheduling, offers, and pre-employment checks.
- Building and maintaining candidate pipelines through local sourcing, community partnerships, and direct attraction methods.
- Ensuring compliance with Zambian labour laws, company policies, and diversity and inclusion commitments.
- Supporting performance management cycles, including output setting, mid-year, and annual reviews.
- Coordinating onboarding and induction activities for new employees.
- Assisting with succession and workforce planning, as well as role competency mapping.
- Maintaining accurate recruitment and talent data within HRIS and reporting systems.
- Preparing dashboards and reports on recruitment metrics and workforce movements.
- Analyzing workforce data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Contributing to the continuous enhancement of HR procedures, SOPs, and policies.
- Promoting organizational values, safety culture, and positive employee relations throughout operations.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of recruitment experience, preferably within mining or heavy industry sectors.
- Proven track record managing high-volume operational recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of performance management and succession planning processes.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of Zambian Labour Laws and ability to interpret them accurately.
- Certified membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management is mandatory.
