Senior Legal Advisor

Purpose of the Job: To provide legal advisory services, legal document preparation and review, non- loan litigation and execution proceedings to safe guard banks interest.

Generic Functions:

• Actively participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division

• Mentor and enable staffs below his/her grades towards achieving their effective performance

• Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public

• Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices

• Provide services as per the service level agreement

• Handle other related generic activities as deemed necessary

Specific Functions:

• Handle activities related with legal advisory Document Preparation, Training and

• Research and non-debt Litigation services

• Provide independent, timely, clear and consistent legal advice, assistance and representation to requesting bank organs in complex legal matters

• Draft or review various complex legal documents and agreements

• Represent and/or ensure the bank is represented either to defend or to institute suit for the Bank's interest before any Judicial and Quasi-Judicial bodies, Governmental and Non-Governmental Institutions' in relation to their area of activities

• Executes legal decision and maintain the confidentiality of all legal service works
