We are seeking a highly competent ESG & MEL Specialist to support the implementation of an EU-funded manufacturing and engineering project focused on industrial upgrading, machinery installation, skills development, and job creation.

This is a unique opportunity to lead sustainability compliance and results measurement in a growing engineering and manufacturing environment.

🔧 About the Role

The ESG & MEL Specialist will ensure that our workshop operations and project activities comply with EU environmental, social, and governance standards and reporting requirements, while tracking measurable production and development outcomes.

This role bridges industrial operations, compliance, sustainability, and donor reporting.

🌱 Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor environmental compliance (waste, emissions, energy use, chemical handling)
  • Ensure workshop safety compliance (PPE, LOTO, machine guarding)
  • Track gender and youth employment targets
  • Maintain EU Logframe indicator tracking systems
  • Prepare quarterly and annual donor narrative reports
  • Support EU audit and Results-Oriented Monitoring (ROM) missions
  • Maintain risk registers and sustainability plans
  • Verify production outputs linked to EU-funded machinery

📊 What We’re Looking For

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, Project Management, or related field

✔ 2–6 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, ESG compliance, or M&E

✔ Strong understanding of industrial safety & environmental standards

✔ Experience with Logframe / Results-Based Management (RBM)

✔ Strong Excel and data reporting skills

✔ High integrity and attention to detail

Experience with EU-funded projects is a strong advantage.
