Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect tyres regularly to identify wear, damage, punctures, and other safety issues.
  • Remove, install, and replace tyres on trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Perform tyre repairs, including puncture repair, tyre patching, and tube replacement.
  • Check and maintain correct tyre pressure according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct tyre rotation, wheel balancing, and tyre condition assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of tyre inspections, repairs, replacements, and mileage tracking.
  • Identify tyre-related problems and provide recommendations to improve tyre lifespan and vehicle safety.
  • Operate tyre service equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of tyres and related equipment.
  • Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures during all maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support to the vehicle maintenance team on tyre-related issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Tyre Technician, Tyre Fitter, or similar role.
  • Experience working with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of tyre repair, fitting, inflation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use tyre-changing equipment, air compressors, and other tyre service tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
