Job Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Plant Management Team and business functions, including Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments.
  • Understand business and operational needs and develop HR strategies aligned with the plant's business objectives.
  • Provide HR insights and professional advice to management on organizational structure, workforce planning, talent management, and employee-related matters.
  • Support organizational development and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and manage annual and monthly workforce plans based on production requirements and business growth.
  • Ensure the right headcount and talent are available to support plant operations.
  • Lead recruitment and talent acquisition for key positions and frontline employees.
  • Build and maintain effective recruitment channels and talent pipelines.
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and reduce time-to-hire.

3. Employee & Labor Relations

  • Manage employee relations matters, including employee grievances, disciplinary cases, conflict resolution, absenteeism, and employee exits.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and internal HR procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with employees and management to promote a positive working environment.
  • Identify and mitigate potential labor and employee relations risks.

4. Performance Management

  • Drive the implementation of the plant's performance management system.
  • Support departments in setting KPIs and performance objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
  • Promote a high-performance culture and improve employee productivity and accountability.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Support compensation structure design, salary reviews, and market benchmarking.
  • Provide recommendations on salary adjustments, incentive schemes, and employee reward programs.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits practices are fair, competitive, and compliant with company policies and local regulations.

6. Learning & Development

  • Identify employee and organizational training needs and develop annual training plans.
  • Coordinate onboarding, technical skills training, management development, and leadership programs.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and the development of high-potential employees.
  • Build talent pipelines for critical and key positions.

7. Organization Development & Employee Engagement

  • Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives across the plant.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys and develop action plans to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Promote effective internal communication and employee involvement.
  • Support organizational restructuring and optimization when required.

8. HR Data & Analytics

  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics, including headcount, recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, labor costs, employee engagement, and productivity.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards for Plant Management.
  • Use HR data and analytics to support management decision-making and workforce planning.

9. HR Team Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop the plant HR team.
  • Set team objectives, allocate responsibilities, and monitor performance.
  • Establish standardized HR processes and continuously improve HR service delivery.
  • Coach and develop HR team members to strengthen their professional capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP Manager, HR Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Proven HR management experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or large-scale factory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and labor law compliance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to partner effectively with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Strong experience in handling complex employee relations issues and labor disputes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and key HR metrics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Experience with HRIS, SAP, Oracle, or other HR management systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in large-scale manufacturing plants, blue-collar workforce management, or high-volume recruitment is highly preferred.
  • Experience in cross-cultural or multi-site HR management is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and HR practices in Ghana is highly preferred.
