About the Role:
Stock Controller Jobs in Siavonga As a Stock Controller at Yalelo Limited, you will oversee all inventory transactions related to harvested fish, from receiving and grading through to storage, processing, and dispatch. You will maintain precise inventory records using advanced data capture tools and coordinate daily stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliations using Sage and Power BI systems.
Your expertise will be essential in identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring all dispatch documentation is accurate and complete. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory transactions across receiving, grading, counting, packing, storage, and dispatch of fish products.
Maintain accurate inventory records in work-in-progress and storage warehouses through data capture methods. Perform daily stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliations in collaboration with Stock Clerks.
Generate Harvest Receipts and update dispatch files with signed documentation. Process daily sales, donations, and canteen transactions efficiently.
Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to synchronize manual entries with system records. Conduct weekly and monthly stock counts, investigate variances, and prepare detailed reports.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all fish products meet internal quality and temperature standards. Monitor storage conditions to prevent spoilage and report quality or contamination risks promptly.
Analyze inventory levels, identify slow-moving stock, and prepare comprehensive inventory reports. Supervise a team of six Data Capturers, overseeing data accuracy and workflow.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and maintain thorough documentation. Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and logistics teams and participate in ongoing training programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related discipline. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
Relevant professional certification in warehouse management is preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven expertise in inventory control, stock management, and warehouse systems implementation. Experience in cold chain logistics, ice production, or FMCG/food processing environments is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of inventory management software such as ERP and WMS. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and lead teams to achieve operational goals. Practical understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations and compliance.
