Implement production plans to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established safety and quality standards, production specifications and schedules.
Main Responsibilities
1. Analyze plans, contracts, and production specifications to produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools, component availability and equipment needed to manufacture products.
2. Evaluate production specifications and plant capacity data to determine production processes and calculate machine and operator loads.
3. Monitor production activity and analyze production data so that the flow of materials meets production requirements and schedules.
4. Adjust schedules to accommodate backlogs, design changes, and material or labor shortages.
5. Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules.
Experience
• Must be familiar with safe working practices.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction/ engineering with more than 3 years in a project planning role
• Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Projects
• Competency in Microsoft Power BI and Excel and report writing
• Prior planning experience will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
• Must have Grade 12 Certificate
• All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
• Degree in Project Management, Engineering or Construction Management. Planning / Project Management certification will be added advantage.
