A reputable audit firm invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals to join its Audit and Assurance Department as Audit Trainees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and carrying out audit assignments.
- Perform audit procedures in accordance with approved audit programmes.
- Prepare accurate and complete audit working papers.
- Test transactions, account balances and internal controls.
- Identify and report audit exceptions and control weaknesses.
- Assist with financial statement reviews and other audit deliverables.
- Maintain professional communication with clients.
- Complete assignments and timesheets within the required timelines.
- Comply with the firm’s quality, independence, ethics and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent, with strong results in Mathematics and English.
- Pursuing ACCA, ZICA/CA Zambia or another recognised professional accountancy qualification will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Previous audit or accounting experience will be an added advantage but is not essential.
