VACANCY: STORES OFFICER

Bunyan Construction is seeking a competent, reliable, and organised Stores Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly record all incoming goods and supplies.
  • Issue materials and supplies to authorised departments and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain proper stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
  • Maintain orderly, clean and secure storage facilities.
  • Prepare stock reports, requisitions and inventory records.
  • Monitor stock movement and identify shortages, damages, expired or obsolete items.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all receipts and issues.
  • Work closely with the Procurement, Finance and Administration departments.
  • Ensure that institutional property and supplies are properly safeguarded.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Diploma in Stores Management, Purchasing and Supply, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience in stores or inventory management.
  • Good knowledge of stock control procedures and documentation.
  • Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good numerical, organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Honest, disciplined, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.
