Key Responsibilities

• They will be responsible for planning and delivering an engaging Spanish International Baccalaureate curriculum.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with their colleagues to establish interdisciplinary connections between subjects to provide a holistic learning experience for students.
• In addition, they will contribute to student learning, classroom management, developing lesson plans to enhance the overall student experience and support a well-rounded education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education (Spanish language, literature or equivalent)
• At least two years of experience teaching Spanish Language in an IB School.
• Proven proficiency in Spanish
• Experience teaching both the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes
• Ability to teach another subject
• Child Protection certification.
• Working knowledge of Managebac is an added advantage
• Deep understanding of and passion for the subject area being taught.
• Proficiency in planning, delivering, and reflecting on an engaging inquiry-based curriculum that fosters student motivation and agency.
• Skilled in integrating technology tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Embraces student diversity and possesses the skills to differentiate instruction to address the individual needs of learners.
• In line with international standards relating to Child Protection, Westwood International School requires all recruited staff members to adhere to the highest child protection and safeguarding standards.
