Senior Welder

Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat,. 

Reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into the appropriate melting the metal into shape and smoothing molten metal to remove creases.

Applies appropriate welding processes to join surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other wieldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches, using manual, automatic welding and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. 

Lay out and mark weld points on parts of sub-assemblies. 

Position pieces to be welded, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. 

Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications. 

Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and complete all required records.

 Follows all safety rules and practices. 

Performs other duties as assigned
