Job Purpose:- The Sanitary Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and reviewing sanitary systems, including water supply, drainage, sewage, wastewater, and stormwater management systems, to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant operation. The role supports project delivery from design through construction by preparing technical drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications, while coordinating with other disciplines and stakeholders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Sanitary System Design

• Design water supply, drainage, sewage, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Prepare sanitary design layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings.
• Prepare 3D visualization 
• Ensure designs are practical, efficient, and suitable for the project needs.

Technical Documentation

• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, and design notes.
• Support the preparation of BOQ and tender documents when required.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and technical submissions.

Code and Standards Compliance

• Ensure all sanitary designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Review designs for safety, functionality, and constructability.
• Incorporate client requirements and project constraints into the design.

Coordination and Collaboration

• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers and structural engineers.
• Work with project teams to resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.

Site Supervision and Inspection

• Visit project sites to inspect sanitary works and monitor installation progress.
• Check that construction is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify defects, issues, or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

Quality Control and Support

• Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning.
• Support quality control to ensure proper execution of sanitary systems.
• Assist in testing, inspection, and handover of completed works.

Problem Solving and Review

• Resolve design-related and site-related issues in a timely manner.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Recommend design improvements where necessary

Other Responsibilities

• Perform any other Sanitary engineering duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
