Senior Loan Officer

Tandizani Solutions Zambia Ltd. is a leading financial services provider seeking qualified and driven individuals to join our growing lending team.

Responsibilities or duties

• Source new clients through field marketing and referrals
• Conduct client appraisals, business visits, and data collection
• Prepare loan applications and ensure proper documentation
• Support loan disbursements and follow up on repayments
• Assist with collections and maintain accurate client records
• Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications or requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Business, Banking, Finance, or related field
• Good numeracy and computer skills
• Self-motivated, outgoing, and able to work in the field
• Integrity and ability to meet targets

Experience needed

• 1-2 years experience in lending, sales, or customer service is an advantage

Any other provided details

• Valid driver’s license. Own transport is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Assess and appraise loan applications for individuals and SMEs
• Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain loan book quality
• Approve loans within delegated authority and recommend to management
• Monitor repayments, manage arrears, and drive recovery
• Mentor and supervise Assistant Loan Officers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Skills

• Strong credit and financial analysis skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
• Target-driven with high integrity

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years lending experience in microfinance/banking
• Previous senior role experience is an added advantage
• Valid driver’s license. Field work required
