SCHOOL ACCOUNTANT

Saint Louis High School, a reputable private secondary school located in Dedza District, invites applications from suitably qualified, self-motivated and experienced candidates to fill the position of School Accountant.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Have knowledge of accounting packages.
• Be conversant with Malawi taxation laws.
• Possess strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Be honest, reliable and of high integrity.
• Be computer literate, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a similar position will be an added advantage.
• Should be aged 25 years and above.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Preparing and submitting monthly PAYE returns to the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA).
• Managing school fees, bank reconciliations and cash flow.
• Processing payroll.
• Preparing budgets and management reports.
• Maintaining accounting records and enhancing internal controls.
• Performing any other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.
