JOB PURPOSE
To undertake the accreditation and auditing of Learning Programmes in Higher Education Institutions to ensure that Learning Programmes meet set standards.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Policy and Programmes: Participate periodically, in the development and implementation of policies and programmes to provide guidance in the accreditation of Learning Programmes.
Accreditation: Processes timely, the documentation for accreditation to facilitate accreditation of Learning Programmes
Learning Programme Audits: Facilitates periodically, the monitoring and evaluation of Learning Programmes to ensure conformity to set standards.
Research: Undertakes periodically, the conduct of research on quality assurance of Learning Programmes to inform decision making.
Reports: Prepares periodically, the state of higher education report on accreditation of Learning Programmes, list of accredited Learning Programmes and other reports to facilitate decision making and inform the public.
Budgeting: Prepares timely, Unit budget to facilitate acquisition of resources of the Department.
Performance Management: Undertakes timely, preparation of individual work plan to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or a Social Science discipline earned from a recognised Higher Education Institution.
