PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR – NEWSWRITING & ONLINE JOURNALISM

Position Overview
Teach and provide practical training in newswriting, reporting, and online journalism;
Supervise and mentor students in practical media production work;
Support teaching and learning in converged media environments; and
Contribute to departmental media training and production activities.

Qualifications Required
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Journalism and Media Studies (or equivalent) from a recognised university, with a 2.1 or better classification. In addition, applicants must have at least three (3) years of post-qualification practical newsroom experience. Possession of a Master’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies, along with relevant industry certifications or demonstrable proficiency in digital and multimedia journalism, will be an added advantage
