Our client in pharmaceutical industry is seeking for a Procurement Assistant who will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of pharmaceutical products while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role supports pharmacy operations by achieving a 100% fill rate, managing supplier relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to efficient procurement and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a 100% pharmacy fill rate by maintaining the availability of pharmaceutical products. 
  • Manage optimal inventory levels to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and product expiry. 
  • Coordinate the procure-to-pay P2P process in collaboration with the Payables Accountant. 
  • Implement procurement policies to achieve cost savings and efficient resource utilization. 
  • Work collaboratively with the procurement team to support organizational procurement objectives. 
  • Support the Procurement Manager in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations. 
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and organizational policies. 
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy and inventory teams to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. 
  • Participate in supplier prequalification, evaluation, and tendering processes. 
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of quality products. 

Academic & Experience Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Procurement & Logistics. 
  • Additional professional qualification in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage. 
  • At least two 1-2 years procurement experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment. 
  • Understanding of procurement regulations and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities. 
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
