Position: Procurement and Stores Officer
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Job Summary:
The Procurement and Stores Officer will manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, inventory, and store operations to ensure the timely availability, proper storage, and efficient use of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations.
• Negotiate prices and delivery terms where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records.
• Receive, inspect, and document incoming goods.
• Manage stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of stock.
• Monitor stock movements, issues, and replenishment requirements.
• Identify slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare procurement and inventory reports for management.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous procurement, inventory, or stores experience.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Good understanding of purchasing and inventory-control processes.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
