The Operations Lead is responsible for the day-to-day management of all production operations in a 24/7 dairy plant. This role ensures that production schedules are met, food safety and quality standards are followed, resources are effectively utilized, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented. The Operations Lead provides leadership to shift teams, coordinates with supporting departments, and drives operational excellence across all production lines.

• Achieving planned production output, efficiencies, and service levels across all shifts
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP, ISO and regulatory requirements
• Leading and developing Shift Leaders and ensuring strong supervision at line level
• Executing daily/weekly production plans and minimizing downtime and waste
• Ensuring accurate and timely ERP reporting of production performance
• Maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing safety standards
• Reports to the Production Manager
• Supervises Shift Leaders and a functional oversight of Line Supervisors and Operators
• Oversee day-to-day operations of all production areas
• Implement the weekly and daily production plan from the Planner.
• Ensure adequate staffing by identifying required skills and addressing skill gaps. 
• Ensure each shift meets its planned output, efficiency, and quality targets.
• Work closely with Maintenance to ensure equipment availability
• Ensure Shift Leaders enter accurate production data in ERP (output, waste, consumption).
• Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports.
• Communicate operational updates and major issues to the Production Manager.
• Have the responsibility to report problem(s) with regards to the FSMS to identified person(s)
