Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using the MERN stack (Mongo
• DB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs connecting web applications, USSD platforms, mobile services, and third-party integrations.
• Develop user-friendly, responsive interfaces optimised for low-bandwidth and mobile-first environments.
• Support the setup, management, and optimisation of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and system performance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment processes to improve software quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with outsourced engineering teams to plan sprints, review code, resolve technical issues, and deliver product enhancements.
• Support AI-powered applications through Open
• AI and Anthropic Claude API integrations, ensuring reliable and scalable implementations.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API documentation, and development standards.
• Participate in solution design, system architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives that support business growth.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Mongo
• DB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Solid experience working with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, IAM, Cloud
• Watch, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.4-6 years' experience in Full Stack Software Development using the MERN technology stack.

• Experience integrating AI platforms, APIs, or machine learning services will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with telecommunications, USSD, IVR, digital platforms, or mobile applications will be an added advantage.

• Experience leading projects, mentoring developers, or coordinating distributed engineering teams will be an added advantage.
