Position Overview:

Medical Billing Officer The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of medical billing operations, including verifying insurance eligibility, submitting claims, monitoring their status, and reconciling payments.

This role requires strict adherence to billing procedures, tariffs, and benefit packages to maintain compliance with NHIMA and private insurance standards. Manage pre-authorisations for procedures, investigations, and admissions as required. Monitor submitted claims and follow up on pending, rejected, or queried cases.

Stay updated on NHIMA requirements, insurer tariffs, benefit packages, and claims procedures. Qualifications and Experience A diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing is advantageous but not mandatory.

Minimum of two years’ experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, or a related role, preferably within a healthcare environment. Familiarity with NHIMA and private medical insurance processes and tariffs is a plus.

Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and billing/claims management systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
