MECHANICAL FITTER

Job description

The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for:

• Assembling of machinery and equipment
• Installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Ensuring the machines are correctly functioning to avoid downtime
• Ensure the machinery and equipment are installed according to their blueprints.
• Repair broken down machines and equipment in a timely manner
• Diagnose every issue and replace faulty machinery as needed
• Be able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of the machinery and installation requirements
• Be able to work closely with Engineers and other technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during operations process.

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate must atleast possess a craft certificate in Mechanical Fitting profession. Higher qualifications will be an advantage.
• Must have atleast 5 years hands-on work experience in the same field, preferably in a milling or mining industry.
• Must be willing to relocate to Mumbwa, or preferably a local resident of Mumbwa area.
