Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team to identify and implement the most effective technical solutions.
• Assist in prioritising activities to maximise organisational benefit, liaising with stakeholders at various levels both within and outside the organisation.
• Develop and apply excellent engineering standards and practises, including conducting technical audits.
• Provide engineering expertise to ensure the smooth and optimal performance of plant machinery.
• Conduct problem-solving activities, perform root cause failure analyses, and recommend solutions and preventative measures.
• Participate in projects from initial conceptualisation through to implementation and commissioning.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification plus a BSc in Engineering, BSc in Mechanical Engineering, or B-Tech.
• At least three years’ experience in mechanical engineering maintenance at a supervisory level.
• Strong engineering background with a solid aptitude for mathematical modelling and a sound theoretical understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail; approachable with a positive attitude and self-motivation; analytical thinker.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work efficiently; honest, reliable, assertive, and a committed team player.
• Proficient in computer literacy.
