Background
To provide administrative, operational, and driver management support to the logistics department, ensuring efficient fleet utilization, compliance with company policies, and smooth coordination of courier operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Driver Management
- Allocate drivers to trips based on workload, vehicle availability, and fatigue management policies.
- Monitor driver mileage, trip logs, and performance records.
- Enforce driver compliance with company policies, safety standards, and reporting times.
- Coordinate driver induction, training, and disciplinary procedures in collaboration with HR.
- Maintain a driver roster and ensure fair distribution of assignments.
Clerical & Administrative Duties
- Prepare delivery notes, waybills, and trip allocation sheets.
- Maintain filing systems for contracts, insurance, licenses, and compliance documents.
- Handle correspondence, emails, and internal communication related to logistics operations.
- Record minutes of logistics meetings and circulate action points.
- Support payroll processing by submitting accurate driver attendance and mileage reports.
Operational Coordination
- Schedule and monitor deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers to optimize service delivery.
- Assist in route planning and allocation of resources.
Data & Reporting
- Compile monthly logistics performance reports (trips, distances, fuel efficiency, third-party reliance).
- Use Excel/ERP systems to generate compliance dashboards and operational summaries.
- Provide actionable insights to management for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–3 years’ experience in logistics administration, fleet operations, or driver management.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP/SAP systems, and digital reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of compliance standards in courier/logistics operations.
