Investment Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and originate new SME investment opportunities through market research and business development activities.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with business owners, industry stakeholders, and professional networks. 
• Conduct detailed financial, operational, and commercial assessments of prospective investments.
• Perform comprehensive due diligence processes to evaluate business viability and potential risks.
• Build and maintain financial models, including revenue forecasts, cost analyses, risk assessments, and return calculations. 
• Structure appropriate financing solutions aligned to investment objectives and risk-return parameters. 
• Lead commercial negotiations and facilitate successful transaction outcomes.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations and reports to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance and proactively identify potential risks and growth opportunities.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with portfolio companies to support business growth and sustainability.
• Stay informed on market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes impacting investment decisions. 

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• Financial Accounting II (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in investment management, corporate finance, SME funding, or related financial services. 
• Exposure to auditing, banking, financial accounting, sales, or marketing will be advantageous.
