HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in HR, with significant experience in a senior roles.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, employee relations, and organisational best practices.
• Develop and implement the organisation’s HR strategy, policies, and procedures in line with business objectives.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and succession planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with payroll, leave management, and performance appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters professionally.
• Prepare HR reports and support training initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Valid ZIHRM membership.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ HR or administrative experience.
• Knowledge of Zambian labour laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
