Role Objective:
- A fast-growing East African hospitality company is seeking a meticulous, self-driven, and honest General Accountant. In this role, you will manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain precise records, handle accounts payable/receivable, ensure strict statutory compliance, and prepare timely monthly financial reports.

- KES 60,000 Gross per month
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately post and process all daily journal entries, ensuring the general ledger is up-to-date.
- Prepare and file all statutory returns on time, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, SHIF, NSSF, and the Affordable Housing Levy via the KRA iTax portal.
- Perform weekly and monthly bank, supplier, and customer statement reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage invoice processing, track client aging reports, follow up on outstanding debts, and schedule supplier payments.
- Prepare the monthly payroll, ensuring accurate computations of salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow forecasts for management review.
- Organize financial documents and files to support internal and external annual audit processes.
- Perform any other duties as allocated.

Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Degree in Commerce Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum CPA Part 2/Intermediate Level CPA-K or ACCA finalists highly preferred.
- At least 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Practical proficiency in accounting software and intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and practical mastery of KRA iTax.
