FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Gateway School Trust is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, and results-oriented Financial Accountant to join its Trust Administration Centre.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing budgets in liaison with Heads of Schools and Departments.
Managing the Trust’s cash resources and cash flows.
Overseeing the internal audit function and maintaining a sound internal control environment.
Supervising bookkeeping and salary administration functions.
Liaising with banks and key suppliers.
Conducting periodic cash counts with Bursars.
Monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
Authorising online and manual payments.
Reviewing payroll, month-end payments, and statutory remittances.
Reviewing bank reconciliations and general ledgers.
Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
Performing any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
Experience in the Education Sector is an added advantage.
