Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited provides water and sanitation services in Chingola, Mufulira and Chililabombwe and is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Manager Technical Asset Management, oversee maintenance and repair of company buildings and assets and keep accurate maintenance records.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Assess civil works needed to maintain buildings and equipment.
• Prepare plans and designs for repair and maintenance of buildings.
• Identify materials required for civil works and building maintenance.
• Undertake civil/building works, installation repairs, plumbing, air-conditioner work and electrical wiring.
• Oversee contractors where professional repairs are required.
• Prepare work-order invoices and related documentation in written and electronic form.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Member of EIZ and/or NCC.
• Experience in estate and property/facilities management.
• Ability to carry out and supervise civil works.
• Ability to conduct building-condition assessments and inspections.
• Competence in preparing and interpreting building plans and technical drawings.
• Ability to prepare and review Bills of Quantities.
• Ability to drive a manual motor vehicle.
