Position Overview:

Duty Electrician (X2) in Ndola The primary purpose of the Duty Electrician role is to support the maintenance and repair of water and electrical installations across company premises and active construction sites. This role requires hands-on involvement to ensure reliable supply and operation of essential utilities.

Key Responsibilities for Duty Electrician Jobs in Ndola Perform daily maintenance and repairs of water and electrical systems to guarantee uninterrupted supply. Assist in the construction and renovation of water and electrical infrastructure as scheduled.

Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot electrical systems to promptly identify and resolve faults. Maintain equipment and repair tools in a clean, safe, and organized condition.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of three years’ experience in construction engineering, focusing on installation, maintenance, and management of water and electrical systems in residential, enterprise, or industrial settings.

Strong foundation in electrical engineering theory, with proven skills in water and electricity maintenance and installation. Proficient in repairing switch circuits and adept at managing unexpected malfunctions.

High safety awareness with the ability to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks effectively. Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and safe operation of generators, photovoltaic systems, water heaters, transformers, and water pumps.

Demonstrated team spirit, responsibility, and a proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges. Paid membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia is required.

Willingness to reside on company premises or construction sites during project periods. Current resident of Ndola or willing to relocate to Ndola.

Working Conditions and Location These full-time positions are based in Ndola, specifically at our Sakania office and project sites. Candidates should be prepared for on-site assessments and interviews conducted in-person at our Ndola office.

Compensation The salary range for these Duty Electrician roles is between 3,000 and 6,000 ZMW per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
