We are seeking a committed and experienced COOK to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of our learners through nutritious and well-prepared meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals for learners, following the Centre's meal plans and Dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with Centre's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work closely with other staff to ensure the mealtime needs of all learners are met.
• Manage kitchen inventory and report any shortages or needs.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school, care home, or similar setting.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Basic understanding of nutrition and food safety.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and support the needs of visually impaired Learners.
• Compassionate and responsible individual with a strong work ethic.
• ADDED ADVANTAGE: Experience working with children or learners with special needs.
• ADDED ADVANTAGE: Ability to speak and write in both English and Setswana.
