Job
Purpose
To
coordinate activities at the control room command center includes coordination
of all security systems, alarms, CCTV, GPS tracking, field personnel, and emergency
response activities. The Control Room Supervisor ensures timely communication,
accurate ERP-based documentation, and effective escalation to guarantee safety,
asset protection, and operational continuity.
Duties &
Responsibilities
- Coordinate
and ensure proper shift takeover and handover, ensuring all pending
issues, incidents, alarms, and system faults are fully communicated.
- Lead
in preparation of comprehensive shift summary reports and ensure that all
Occurrence Book (OB) entries are updated and maintained strictly in the
ERP system.
- Receive
and log all calls, radio messages, digital communication, and alarms into
the ERP or relevant reporting system.
- Ensure
update of Situation Reports (SITREPs) on an hourly basis and escalate any
abnormalities immediately.
- Maintain
continuous radio and phone communication with guards, supervisors,
response teams, and substations.
- Ensure
all communication devices remain functional and report faults immediately.
- Coordinate
emergency communication with internal teams and external responders
(police, ambulance, fire brigade).
- Provide
guidance to duty controllers, guards and supervisors during incidents and
ensure high priority issues are escalated immediately to the Operations
Manager.
- Continuously
monitor CCTV feeds, conduct regular screen patrols, ensure all cameras are
functional, and record and classify all incidents for escalation and
investigation.
- Retrieve
and supply authorized CCTV footage to support investigations.
- Oversee
the monitoring of all alarm systems
(radio, GSM, IP, panic buttons), dispatch response teams promptly, track
their movement until closure of incidents, and document all alarm data,
including activation time, response time, and actions taken.
- Generate
report of alarm and system faults and coordinate with technical teams for
timely restoration on a daily basis.
- Monitor
fleet GPS/vehicle tracking dashboards for movement, speed, route
deviations, fuel anomalies, unauthorized stops, and document all
irregularities and generate weekly reports
- Monitor
supervisors’ patrol movements and prepare detailed movement reports for
the Operations Manager
- Lead
in conducting random register
checks for guards across assignments to confirm attendance and alertness,
especially high risk assignments.
- Generate
weekly report of all guard absenteeism, lateness, or missing shifts
- Observe
and report any potential risks, misconduct, or performance issues among
field personnel.
- Monitor
all client-installed security systems (alarms, CCTV, electric fences,
sensors, fire systems) and escalate all faults to the technical
department.
- Identify
and report potential operational vulnerabilities or security risks at
client locations.
- Manage
and account for petty cash assigned to the control room, ensuring proper
documentation, reconciliation, and immediate reporting of discrepancies.
- Coordinate
emergencies, disturbances, or operational disruptions to ensure swift
resolution.
- Maintain
strict confidentiality over client information and internal communications.
- Perform
any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors in Security Management, Criminology, ICT,
Communications, or related field.
- Training in CCTV operations, alarm monitoring, or radio
communication (added advantage).
- Report writing skills
- Computer and MS Office skills.
- 1–5 years’ experience in a security control room
environment
