CIVIL WORKS & FIBER SPLICER – Camusat Botswana

Camusat Botswana is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions: Seeking a dedicated Civil Works & Fiber Splicer to support fibre optic deployment projects.

The successful candidate will supervise civil works activities, perform fibre splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and ensure quality installation of fibre optic infrastructure while maintaining company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise fibre civil works activities.
• Perform fibre splicing and testing.
• Conduct OTDR measurements and fault finding.
• Install and terminate fibre optic cables.
• Prepare daily reports and maintain as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma in Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in civil works supervision and fibre splicing.
• Experience with fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and fibre optic installation.
• Knowledge of trenching, HDD techniques, and HDPE duct installation.
• Ability to read telecom and civil construction drawings.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong communication and planning skills.
• Ability to travel within Botswana.
