Key Responsibilities
- This all-volunteer Board is responsible for developing the strategic vision necessary to accomplish the stated goals of the organisation, and for supporting these strategies once adopted.
- Stepping Stones International holds a minimum of quarterly meetings with occasional ad hoc meetings scheduled as needed.
- Our 2-hour meetings are held in person and virtually, and all members are expected to attend regularly.
- Board members are asked to support SSI through sharing of information about the organisation, encouraging participation in projects and promoting fundraising, marketing and other events.
- Successful board members should be able to contribute an average of 5 hours per month to SSI activities
- SSI follows a staggered board term model where the member serves a three-year term and not more than two three-year terms.
Requirements
- A human resources and talent management expert who understands restructuring and change management, Botswana laws, talent development and as a bonus, has an understanding of the civil society space.
