Key Responsibilities
- Assist in corporate, commercial, and conveyancing transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements and related documentation.
- Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions where required.
- Support transaction execution, due diligence exercises, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Manage client files and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
- Attend to client instructions and maintain professional client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services.
- Contribute to business development initiatives where applicable.
- Undertake any other duties assigned within the Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing Department.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practising certificate.
- 6–24 months Post-Qualification Experience.
- Prior experience working in a law firm is mandatory.
- Minimum academic performance of B+ or equivalent.
- Demonstrable interest and practical exposure in Corporate, Commercial & Conveyancing work.
- Exposure to business development will be an added advantage.
- Strong drafting, legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting corporate and commercial transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative working style and sound emotional intelligence.
- Evidence of increasing responsibility, ownership of deliverables, and meaningful client exposure.
