Assistant Plumber

A construction company based in Harare is urgently looking for an Assistant Plumber who is
ready to start work immediately.

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT PLUMBER

Job Description
• Install and wire electrical systems and components according to approved procedures.
• Assist in plumbing installations of water supply and drainage systems.
• Carry out pipe cutting, threading, fitting, and joining under supervision.
• Support fault finding and repairs of leaks, burst pipes, and blocked drains.
• Assist maintenance of taps, sinks, toilets, showers, and cisterns.
• Prepare work areas and gather materials/tools (pipes, fittings, adhesives/seals).
• Help with pipe and system testing (as instructed) and report results/issues.
• Ensure safe use of tools and plumbing chemicals, maintaining good housekeeping.
• Support excavation/support tasks for plumbing repairs/installation where required.
• Follow plans/sketches and instructions for correct pipe routing and installation.
• Keep basic records and communicate progress/problems to the plumber/supervisor.

Requirements
• A diploma in Plumbing and Pipefitting Technology
• Skilled Worker Class 1
• A minimum of three years’ work experience
