About the Role:

Area Supervisor Production Jobs in Solwezi As an Area Supervisor at First Quantum Minerals, you will oversee mine crews working in surface mining operations, ensuring safety standards are strictly maintained while monitoring overall development performance and operational efficiency.

This role demands hands-on leadership within an Excavator loading unit, collaborating closely with Pit Operations to maximize the utilization of ancillary equipment and optimize productivity. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal regulations related to health, safety, environment, quality, finance, and human resources.

Collaborate with Pit Operations to optimize the use of ancillary equipment within the pit to enhance operational efficiency. Investigate and implement new concepts focused on improving safety, productivity, and cost savings.

Supervise and manage daily operations within the Excavator loading unit, following instructions and established procedures. Perform additional duties as required to support mine operations and company objectives.

Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 Certificate. Valid Blasting Licence.

Valid First Aid Certificate. Certificate in Mining Engineering.

Minimum of three years’ experience in the mining industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of core business disciplines. Advanced computer literacy relevant to mining operations.

Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Demonstrated track record of supervising and managing teams.
